Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how ArRENCE AI / Webb Local AI LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you access or use the ArRENCE AI platform at arrenceai.com and any associated desktop or mobile applications (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information. When you register, we collect a username and hashed password. We do not collect your legal name or address unless you provide it voluntarily.

Conversation Data. When you send a message, your query is transmitted to Webb Local AI private servers for AI processing. No conversation content is saved on our servers. Your chat history is stored exclusively in your own browser or desktop application on your local device. Once your session ends, your conversation data cannot be accessed or recovered from our side. Webb Local AI does not read, log, or retain the content of your conversations.

Usage and Token Data. We record the number of tokens consumed per user per week to enforce service tier limits (guest, paid, VIP). This data is stored in our user database and resets weekly.

Uploaded Documents and Images. Files you upload for document search (RAG) or vision analysis are transmitted to Webb Local AI private servers and held temporarily for the duration of your session or until you manually remove them. They are used solely to provide the requested AI features, are not read by staff, and are not shared with third parties.

Notes and Tasks. Any notes or tasks you explicitly save through the Service are stored in per-user data files on Webb Local AI private servers. This is intentional user-directed storage — only data you choose to save via the notes feature is retained server-side. You can view and delete your notes at any time through the notes interface.

Calendar Data. If you use the calendar feature, your calendar entries are stored in an encrypted per-user format on Webb Local AI private servers. This is intentional user-directed storage.

Payment Information. We use Stripe, Inc. to process payments. We do not store your credit card number, card details, or full payment information on our servers. Stripe receives and processes payment data directly under their own Privacy Policy. We store only your subscription tier status and Stripe customer ID.

Log and Technical Data. Webb Local AI private servers automatically record standard request logs including IP address, browser/client type, pages accessed, and timestamps. These logs do not include conversation content. They are used for security monitoring, abuse prevention, and diagnosing technical issues.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide, operate, and maintain the Service
To enforce usage limits and manage subscription tiers
To process payments and manage billing through Stripe
To respond to support requests and legal inquiries
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or illegal activity
To comply with applicable laws and legal process
To improve the Service (aggregate, anonymized analytics only)

We do not sell your personal information. We do not save, read, or use your conversation content for any purpose — including AI training. Your conversations exist only on your own device.

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

Stripe — receives payment and billing information to process subscriptions.
Infrastructure — AI processing runs on Webb Local AI private servers operated by Webb Local AI LLC. These servers are not shared with third-party cloud AI providers. No conversation data leaves our private infrastructure for AI processing purposes.
Law enforcement — we will disclose information when required by valid legal process (subpoena, court order, or equivalent), or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of any person or to prevent illegal activity.
Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify users of any such change via a notice on the Service.

Third-party services used to fulfill requests (DuckDuckGo search, Wikidata, YouTube transcript analysis, weather APIs) receive only the specific query text necessary to return a result. No personally identifying information is passed to these services.

4. Cookies and Session Data

The Service uses session cookies to keep you logged in across page loads. These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function and do not track you across other websites. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or fingerprinting technologies.

5. Data Retention

Account data — retained until you request deletion of your account.
Token usage counters — reset weekly; historical totals are not retained beyond the current period.
Uploaded files (documents, images) — retained until you remove them or your account is deleted.
Notes and calendar data — retained until you delete individual entries or request full account deletion.
Server logs — retained for up to 90 days for security and diagnostic purposes, then deleted.
Payment records — Stripe retains payment history per their own retention policies. We retain subscription status and Stripe customer IDs for as long as your account exists.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Object to or restrict certain processing
Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format)
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, email us at legal@arrenceai.com. We will respond within 30 days. For account deletion requests, we will delete your account data within 30 days of verification, except where retention is required by law.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at legal@arrenceai.com.

8. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including password hashing, encrypted storage for calendar data, and access controls on our servers. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Users / GDPR and CCPA

EU/EEA users (GDPR): Our legal basis for processing your data is performance of the contract (providing the Service you signed up for) and legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, service improvement). You have the rights listed in Section 6 above and may lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of any future sale (none occurs). To exercise CCPA rights, contact us at legal@arrenceai.com.

10. Desktop Application

The ArRENCE AI desktop application (Windows) is a client application that connects to Webb Local AI private servers via arrenceai.com. AI processing occurs on those private servers, not on your device. Your chat history is stored locally on your PC within the application — it is never uploaded to our servers. The desktop app does not collect additional telemetry, does not access your file system beyond files you explicitly upload, and does not transmit data to any destination other than arrenceai.com.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide a notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
